Kickin' It Into Gear!!!

I really liked posting the little sneek peeks yesterday so I think I am going to continue doing that every so often. I like the inspiration that can be found in the "little things" and it also helps me to focus more on details in my photography.

Here are couple of sneek peeks of a project I worked on today.

Today I also decided to take my camera off of "Auto" and put it on "Manual" - I "kicked it into gear" you might say. I decided I was going to be in the driver's seat of my camera because, after all, what did I have to lose? Absolutely nothing! If something didn't come out right, I just hit the delete button and started over. That is the best part of digital photography I think.

I want to first give you a few more sneek peeks before revealing my complete subject. I love some of the patterns and designs found in this object. None of the pictures have been touched up, except for minor cropping.

Now for reveal! LOL My mother bought this Rooster for my Great Aunt Edie years ago. It has travelled many miles. Back in September when I flew to California, my Great Aunt Ruby gave him to me. While he many not be worth much to anyone else, he holds some special memories. He is also full of many colors and patterns, don't you think?

Have a wonderful day and "Kick Into Gear" and out of Auto!
