Mr. Campy!

Mr. Campy from Cosmo Cricket brings outdoor fun to your projects without ever having to pack a picnic basket or load up on the bug spray. The colors, patterns, and embellishments of this collection all have a retro style that is sure to bring a bit of whimsy to your outdoor themed creations.

The Mr. Campy Paper Crafting Kit comes with 12 double-sided cardstocks, one double-sided Strip Tease, 8 double-sided cut a part Journaling Cards, 1 Mr. Campy adhesive die cut shapes and a Cosmo Design Studio sheet with project ideas found on the back of the cover sheet. In addition to the Mr. Campy Paper Crafting Kit, I also received 1 yard of the Mr. Campy ribbon, 1 package of Mr. Campy Stickers, and 1 package of Mr. Campy Rub-on images.

Mr. Campy’s unique distressed style mixed with whimsical characters and retro style patterns make this a collection that is easy to work with whether you are creating pages of the past or present. Each pattern in this collection coordinates well with each other and the stickers, rub-ons, ribbons, and other embellishments bring a sense of continuity to the overall layout or project.

Our family loves the outdoors so my only obstacle working with this collection was deciding what my subject would be for my first project. When my mother was a young girl she took a trip to visit family in California. While there, she toured Yosemite National Park and this beautiful scene was captured some 55 years ago. The Happy Campers, Go Jump In A Lake, and Happy Trails cardstock coupled with some rub-on’s, ribbon, and adhesive die cuts made this a perfect backdrop for this breathtaking view of Yosemite Falls.

Catching your first fish is always a moment in time that you want to remember. This picture of my cousin and the story behind her first catch was worthy of being captured using the Mr. Campy collection. Mr Campy Flannel and Nature Walk were the perfect patterns to reflect the time period of the photos. The adhesive die cuts helped frame the photo and the phrase rub-on with the cute little fish rub-ons went perfectly with the theme of this layout. I used one of the journaling cards for my story and used a die cutting machine to create my title from the Nature Walk cardstock.

As I looked at the Journaling cards that I had left they appeared to tell a story. I couldn’t help but think that they would make an adorable book. Since I have a friend who is always looking for little albums to house their memories from their many camping and fishing trips, I thought this would make a cute gift for her. I used a Bind-it All to bind the Journal Cards together and added embellishments using Happy Campers cardstock and some of the Adhesive Die Cuts and Rub-ons to the pages.

Thank you Cosmo Cricket for creating another winning combination with the Mr. Campy collection!
