Wildlife Birthday

Justin spent his birthday at the Sharkarosa Wildlife Park in Pilot Point, TX. Our Vet Science group went on a tour to learn about the animals and got some hands on experience with exotic wildlife. The weather the week before was in the 80's but it did not cooperate with the group on this day as the temperatures pummeled to 50 with high winds. Because of this, I did not get to go because their was no way I could have tolerated being out in this kind of weather for 6 hours. Mickey went with Justin but both of them said I wouldn't have lasted more than 30 minutes out in the cold wind because even the two of them got very cold.

Justin was fascinated by the Lemurs, so much so that he purchased a stuffed "Lemur" animal at the end of the day.

This Lemur was trying to soak up as much sun as he could on this cold day.

Here is Justin playing with one of the Lemurs.

Isn't this a cute face? By the way - this is a baby Lemur

Here is Justin's Lemur that he brought home.

During the day the group was able to interact with the wildlife. Here was a kangaroo that was lying around trying to keep warm

This is a face only a mother could love!

I'm not really sure what he thought was so funny!

When the guys got home from their adventure, I had baked this cake and made some homemade ice cream.

The symbol in the middle of the cake is the veterinarian symbol

So, that is all I have to update for now. I am going to be uploading some projects I have been working on so check back soon!
