Quick Quotes - Tessa’s Fairytale Collection

I have to admit that I am a big fan of Quick Quotes. I love everything about them; their style, their patterns, the quality of their products, and their quotes.
I received Tessa’s Fairytale Collection which was packed with 10 pieces of double-sided cardstock; 74 vellum poems & quotes; and 19 laser diecuts. This was definitely enough to get my creative juices flowing, but they also added one sheet of Leslie’s Dot Rub ons; one set of Tessa’s Fairytale cardstock Clips ‘n Tags; and one set of Tessa’s Fairytale brads ‘n ribbons to compliment my Tessa’s Fairytale collection. With so much to work with my mind raced with all of the different projects I could create.
Earlier this year I had the privilege of taking a class from Teresa. With her permission, I recreated this canvas using the original concept and I love how all of the patterns and embellishments complimented each other throughout the entire design.
I began by painting the canvas a chocolate brown, then I cut the different patterns of cardstock into two inch squares. Next, I punch out several dozen flowers from the cardstock and pinned them to two Styrofoam balls that had been cut in half. Once my canvas was dry, I adhered the cardstock squares and the vellum quote to the canvas using Gloss Gel Medium. I mounted my photo onto two layers of patterned cardstock and adhered it to the canvas. I then used some hot glue to attach the pipe cleaners to my flowers and then glued them to the canvas. I finished it off by adding a die cut to the top right of the photo and a piece of Quick Quotes ribbon to the center of my larger ribbon.

It is my son’s desire to one day become a veterinarian, or to at least work in the veterinary medicine field. He recently had the opportunity to take a private tour of the agricultural science center at Texas A&M and so I decided to cut out a circle on the bottom left of this patterned paper and add the vellum quote, “The Best Day” behind that circle. I then used the piece that I had cut away and mounted it to the back of the vellum giving it a soft background design. I also cut around several of the design shapes and tucked my photo behind the designs. Using a piece of the striped patterned cardstock, I punched a border to lay across the bottom along with a piece of blue patterned ribbon. I added the die cut strip with the quote, “Life is like an amazing puzzle. It is up to you to fit the pieces together” to the bottom of the page along with a chipboard circle from the Clips ‘n Tags sheet. Once I added my title I mounted the layout onto a piece of solid cardstock to give it a slight framed edge.

I’ve had this purse form in my stash for a couple of years now and I have been waiting for that “perfect” collection to take this ordinary, white, cardboard purse and transform it into something beautiful. When I first saw the Tessa’s Fairytale collection, I knew this project would be on my list of things to create. Because the patterns throughout this collection blend so well together, it was easy to pick two patterns that I loved and put them together to create this purse design. I traced the purse pieces onto the cardstock then cut them out using my scissors. I then ran the pieces through my Xyron machine and adhered them to the purse form. I cut the flower from one of the die cuts and glued it to the front of the purse flap along with layering the die cut butterflies and placing them on the flower petals. Then I used one of the rub-on’s on top of the metal brad. This purse came equipped with a magnetic closure, so I bent the brad prongs towards the center then just placed it onto the center of the flower. The magnet in the purse keeps the brad stationary. I attached my handle that I made using Indus Trading Beads and my purse was finished!

I loved how easy it was to create beautiful projects in minimal time using the Tessa’s Fairytale collection and accessories from Quick Quotes. Even after making these three projects, I still have enough product left over to make several more projects.
If you are looking for a scrapbooking kit that will give you plenty of product to work with, then I would choose one of the Quick Quotes Mega Pack collections for your next purchase!
