Breakfast Pizza is a favorite dish around here - any type of casserole dish is a favorite of my families for that matter ;)
This dish is so versatile and you can tailor it to your families tastes and what you have on hand.
2 cans crescent rolls
2 potatoes, chipped
16 oz cheese, shredded
1 lb sausage
1 T. milk
Put crescent rolls in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Smooth out to form a crust to line the bottom of pan and about half way up the sides.
As you can see, I did not use crescent rolls. Why? because I did not have any on hand; but what I did have was some biscuit mix and used that instead.
I rolled it out to form a thin crust just like I would have done for the crescent rolls.
Cook sausage and potatoes. Drain sausage on put on top of crust.
Mix the 2 eggs with the milk and pour onto the sausage.
Put potatoes on top of the egg and sausage mixture.
As you can see, I used hashbrowns instead of potatoes and I also added some white gravy. You could also add any vegetables that you wanted to this dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Take out and put cheese on top and bake for 5 - 10 minutes more or until the cheese is melted. Serve hot.
If you want to make this dish ahead you add all of the ingredients except for cheese, wrap dish and put into freezer. To cook, take out about 45 minutes ahead of time to thaw. Baking time may be extended due to the Breakfast Pizza not being fully unthawed.
