I feel that it is really important that we pray for our young graduates as they enter a new journey in life. I used one of the graduation pictures to create prayer cards for each of the guests.

The main colors were green and yellow because my son has loved John Deere tractors since he was just a little boy. All of the guest tables had green table cloths and the food and display tables had yellow table cloths.

I used wide mouth mason jars and tied a strip of burlap around the neck of the jar. I printed off class tags and added them to the silk flower which I slipped behind the burlap ribbon that held it in place. Each jar was then filled with miniature candy bars.

At each place setting I had a half sheet of paper for each person to write a special not of encouragement to Justin. I am going to bind the papers into a book for him to keep.

The double layer cake was a white cake that I tinted with green and yellow Wilton colors. I can’t believe we never got a picture of the cake when it was cut. It was so cool with the different color layers! The sheet cake was chocolate. This was the first time I had used fresh flowers on a cake but I really liked how it looked and will plan on doing that again!
So there you have the decorations for Justin’s graduation.
