Scallop Flower Tutorial

With Mother’s Day just a few days away, I thought I would show you how to make these pretty Scallop flowers. You may have remembered seeing some of these on my Flower Corsage.
What you will need
Sticky Paper (P K Glitz)
Glitter: Cotton Candy and Sunshine (P K Glitz)
Scallop punch

Begin by punching or cutting 7 or more scallops all the same size.

Remove backing from scallops that have been cut from Sticky Paper and apply glitter. I used Sunshine on one petal and Cotton Candy on the other six petals.

Stack glittered scallops then punch a hole through the center. Use a small brad to hold all of your scallops together.

Pull up the first layer around the brad and continue with the rest of the layers.

I like to make sure that all of my layers are very compact before I begin shaping my flower. Once all of the layers are pulled up, begin to gently “shape” your flower by pushing back on the layers. Once you are satisfied with how you flower looks, you can use it to embellish whatever project you are working on.

I added stems to these flower and placed them in a plastic bottle and added a label with a message.
This is a very quick and easy project if you are looking for a last minute Mother’s Day gift.
Whatever the occasion, these flowers are so beautiful. Use them to embellish your surroundings and bring a bit of sparkle to your day!
