Today I want to welcome Tammy, from “Crafted by Tammy”, to Not Just Paper and Glue. I recently was introduced to her by a mutual friend, and I am sure you are going to enjoy what she is going to be sharing with you today.
I am excited to be here guest blogging for Tammy. My name is Tammy also. I am married to Frank, mom to Jennifer, stepmom to Kyle and a secretary at a cotton gin.
I started making cards when a friend invited me to her Stampin UP club meeting. I have found that I enjoy the process of making a card, seeing the elements come together, and the satisfaction of the card turning out better than I though it would.
The card I am showing you today is one of those cards. I really was not sure how this would turn out. But I am very satisfied how it did.
I took my ivory colored ribbon and ran it across the ink pad.
Hold one end of ribbon between thumb and pointy finger. Lay ribbon on ink pad. Use some wadded up tissue paper or paper towel to hold down the ribbon as you pull it across the ink pad. Then cut the ribbon into lengths needed to cover the punch out shape in your cardstock. I wadded up tissue paper, inked it, then "stamped" the Kraft cardstock to add a little something to it. I do this technique a lot, lol. I had to fold up the bottom edge of the Kraft cardstock to be able to get the punch more in the center of the card. To hide the crease made from folding, I attached ribbon and then stamped a few hearts on it. I think I might try an Iris Fold next.
