How to make Strawberries and Cream

I featured this simple recipe for Strawberries and Cream several years ago on my blog. Since so many of you really liked it I thought I would re-share it with my new readers.


1 Pint Strawberries, washed
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 c. Powdered Sugar
Icing Bag and large tip or ziplock bag


  1. Cut ends off of strawberries so they sit flat.
  2. Slice an “x” on the pointed end of the strawberry but do not cut all the way through to the bottom.
  3. Open Strawberry just slightly so you will be able to insert the filling.
  4. Let cream cheese come to room temperature and beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
  5. Add 1/4 c of powdered sugar to whipped cream cheese by hand or use your mixer.
  6. Mix the vanilla into the cream cheese.
  7. Put filling in to a disposable bag with a large tip to pipe in the filling. If you do not have either of these, add your filling to a ziplock bag and cut the corner to create your own piping bag.
  8. Place tip into the center of the cut strawberry and fill.
  9. Add chocolate sprinkles if you wish for decoration.
Add a blueberry or two to the top and you have a special treat for Memorial Day or 
July 4th celebrations.
