Tri-Shutter Thanks Card plus Free Gift Card Pocket

Recently, Wendy from Poppy Hill Designs gave me the opportunity to work with her latest cutting file collection, Tri-Shutter Sentiment Cards.

This collection of cutting files includes twelve (12) Tri-Shutter Cards; eleven (11) of cards include a Sentiment and one is left plain. Along with the card files, a complete set of accessory files are included to help get your creativity started. Adding embellishments to any card means that you will be adding bulk to the card. To allow for the addition of these elements, a Tri-Shutter Card Presentation Box cutting file is included as a Bonus.

While the collection is packed with lots of versatility, a Plain Tri-Shutter card cut file is included to allow for your own unique creative touch; this is the file that I chose to work with.

Not Just Paper and Glue: Plain Tri-Shutter Sentiments Card from Poppy Hill Designs

Recently our son broke his leg at college playing Frisbee and on a moments notice, our neighbors kept an eye on our farm while were gone. The center panel of the Plain Tri-Shutter Card was the perfect size to hold a gift card.

To accommodate the gift card, I created a gift card pocket cutting file for the center panel which can be downloaded on the Poppy Hill Designs website. Once the pocket was cut out I attached it to the center panel. I then embellished the pocket to match the card and also added the word "THANKS".

I then used the Daisy and Sentiment Blocks accessory files to further embellish the card. With the gift card placed inside the pocket and the added embellishments and dimensional flower, the card was too bulky for a regular envelope.

The Tri-Shutter Sentiments Card collection includes a Bonus Card Presentation Box which I cut from coordinating cardstock. I then used the same accessory files to create a band to hold the box together and also add an embellishment tag.

The files are available in AI, PDF, DXF, WPC, SVG formats. Since I use the Silhouette Cameo with the Studio Designer Edition software, I am able to use the SVG format to cut the files.
