About Me:
My name is Tammy Malone and I live on a small farm in north Texas with my wonderful husband and handsome son.
My family has been my main focus of scrapbooking since 1995 but this is not where it all began. In 1981 I was a Miss Teen World contestant and was required to put together a scrapbook. I wasn't crowned Miss Teen World, but I did win the scrapbook division. How was I to know that this one event in my life would bring me to where I am today?
Over the years I have dabbled in various art forms such as clay, ceramics, decoupage, leatherwork, weaving, painting, etc. In 2001 I discovered Rubberstamping and I laid my scrapbooking passion aside and solely focused on mastering this new found art form. In the fall of 2004 I began to refocus my attention to scrapbooking and since that time I have been published, won contests, and have been recognized as an accomplished artist in the scrapbooking industry.
In January 2007 I was chosen to be a part of the ScrapFriends Review Team. Being a part of this team allowed me to work with various manufacturer's which pushed me to go "outside of the box" on several occasions. I have clearly come out a better artist because of it! In June 2008 I was introduced to PK Glitz and from that time, I have began to work with this company at vendor shows.
In June 2009 I was asked to be a part of their very first design team and to help with marketing. Since then, PK Glitz has developed a company blog which I am now a contributing editor. I am also working on creating tutorials for the blog / website along with creating projects to showcase at vendor shows and various media outlets.
During the winter break of 2010 I was asked to visit the home office of P K Glitz. It was then that I was offered the full time position of Marketing & Sales Rep. for the company. I was completely honored and officially took my position on December 15, 2010.
Scrapping Style:
I don't consider myself to have any particular style, but I do veer away from things that are "mysterious or dark" and lean more towards happy and uplifting expressions in my art. One thing that I have discovered is that preserving my families history can take on many forms and doesn't necessarily always have to be locked inside of a book. Over the past several years I have discovered various art mediums that has allowed me to take my paper art to a whole new level. Today I do not consider myself as a scrapbooker or rubberstamper, but more of a mixed media artist.
